形態特徵

Small evergreen trees with dark brown, hispid branches.
Levaes obovate or oblong. 10–20 cm long, 4–8 cm wide, chartaceous, glabrous above, puberulous beneath, short-acute at apex. obliquely cuneate or obtuse at base, entire or wavy-crenate, with 3 main veins from base, primary lateral veins 6–9 pairs, prominent beneath; petioles scurfy, hispid, 1–1.5 cm long; stipules ovate-lanceolate, 1–2 cm long, puberulous, fugaceous.
Male and gall or female Flowers together; male Flowers few, near apex of receptacle, short pedicellate, perianth-lobes 2–3, involute, stamen 1, filament short; gall Flowers long-pedicellate, perianth short or absent, ovary smooth, obovoid, style sublateral, slender, stigma dilated.
Receptacles orange-red to reddish-brown or brown, on trunks, large branches and thick branchlets, solitary, paired or in fascicles, axillary, globose to ovoid, 1.5–2 cm long, 1.5–2.2 cm across, nearly glabrous; stalks puberulous, 0.5–2 cm long.

分布

台灣 : In broad-levaed forests at low altitudes throughout the island, and on Lanyu and Lutao islands.
世界 : India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, S China, Indonesia and the Philippines.
